Next-generation soil health insight to increase yields and save resources
BioSensor Solutions is a CO-WY Engine Client Company
A healthy microbiome is required to grow the food we depend on. Our field sensor platform is designed to help growers monitor the soil microbiome and holistically understand microbial activity below the ground. Data and insights from these new sensors will help growers increase yields and save resources on water, fertilizer, pesticides, and herbicides.
Are you a grower, biofertilizer company, or irrigation provider?
We are seeking additional partners in the regenerative agriculture sector for our 2025 digital soil health pilot program. Spots are limited. Ideal candidates include:
-Growers and farm advisors experimenting with new regenerative practices
-Biofertilizer providers looking to validate and fine-tune product impact in a variety of settings
-Irrigation providers looking for more detailed data on biological activity and nutrient cycling.
Beneficial agricultural practices can be informed through a deeper understanding of how environmental conditions and management approaches impact the living community in soils. The microbially-driven processes of organic matter transformation in soils are critical for agricultural sustainability and productivity.
At the University of Colorado Boulder, we have developed sensor technology to continuously monitor organic matter decomposition processes directly in the soil. These low-cost sensors allow for real-time capture of this important information across a field or in the lab.
